The First 50 Members
  • Register

On February 13, 1912, the official founding of the Rotary Club of Jacksonville, there were 14 members. By May of that year, when the club was officially chartered by the national organization, the club had grown to 35 members. At year's end the club had more than 70 members. In the late summer of 1912 a membership list was circulated and it had the names of 50 members and their classifications.

Many of the surnames, businesses and classifications remain familiar today. In fact, on this list you will find the grandfathers and great-grandfathers of a number of current club members.
