Qualifications to be a Rotarian

To become a member of the Rotary Club of Jacksonville, you must be invited to join the club by a member of the club.

A qualified candidate for Rotary club membership is an adult of good character and good business, professional, or community reputation. The candidate fits one of the following criteria:

  • Holds or has held an executive position with discretionary authority in any worthy and recognized business or profession
  • Serves or has served as a community leader

Fees Associated with Membership

Initial membership fee: $500

Members are billed quarterly:

  • Dues: $275

The following donations are in addition to the quarterly dues:

  • Our club’s local Rotary Charity Foundation: $75 per quarter
  • The Rotary International Foundation (Paul Harris): $75 per quarter
  • End Polio Now campaign: $25 per quarter
  • Mercy Ship/ Ophthalmology – Williams Visionary Scholar Project by member request

Rotarians should set as an objective at least 60% attendance including online make-up meetings.

Proposing Someone to Become a Member

If you are member of our club and would like to propose someone who meets these qualifications, you can download a membership proposal form here.


As a member if there is someone you know who you would like to proposed for membership in our club, you may be asked to provide the club with additional information about the proposed member.



If someone you know is being proposed for Rotary, you may be asked to endorse that member.
