Our club's charity foundation is supported by club member contributions of $300/year. The foundation awards approximately $70,000 each year to local charities and worthy not-for-profit projects. The club's Project and Screening Committee reviews all applications and determines which organizations will be selected to receive grants in a given year.

The Rotary Club of Jacksonville's affiliated charity foundation — Rotary Charity Foundation, Inc. — is a 501c(3) non-profit Florida corporation which affords tax deductible contributions to ANY donor whether Rotarian, citizen or corporate. The Rotary Charity Foundation is separate from The Rotary Foundation (TRF) which is an international program which is partly administered by our Rotary District 6970. Our club gives TRF a great deal of support and member participation.

RCJ Has a Proud Past

The Rotary Charity Foundation was founded in 1952 by former president Spencer Ladd who believed our members should be doing more than just eating lunch together and hearing good speakers each week. From providing shoes to orphaned children to underwriting construction of a surgical center aboard a Mercy Ship, the club's history of giving and support has ranked the club amongst the highest in all of Rotary.
